PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Dill Pickle Club (DPC) seeks designers, visual artists and other creative workers for our City Works Poster SeriesFunded by a grant from Sappi Fine Paper’s Ideas That Matter, the program will award three designers $1,000 each for the creation of three foldout posters using graphic design to make city policy more accessible.

Topics for the posters include:

  • How Is the City Planned?
  • Where Does Garbage Go?
  • How is Justice Served?

City Works Poster Series aims to add vitality to crucial debates about Portland’s future, while creating opportunities for designers to engage with social issues.

Each poster will be the product of a commissioned collaboration between the three awarded designers and the Dill Pickle Club Publications Committee. DPC will publish the resulting foldout poster in newsprint (circ. 5,000) to be distributed for free at local branches of the Multnomah County Library. A second run will be made on archival paper (circ. 500) to be sold through the DPC website and at local bookstores and art galleries.
