Thanks everyone for coming out to “HOW ARE THINGS MADE?” The event was a phenomenal success. In case you missed it, Dr. Bluffstone’s handout from his lecture (delivered from the intercom of the school bus!) on the history and present standing of Portland’s industrial economy is available here. Special thanks goes out to the folks at Intel, Oregon Soap, Pendleton and the Port of Portland.

The photos keep flowing like wine and we have created a flickr group photo pool to upload your own documentation of events. Join and post your pics at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/dillpickleclub/. Add ‘em to our pool  and they will magically appear on our site!

The next field trip will be “WHERE DOES FOOD COME FROM?,” a bike ride to visit local food suppliers. The full schedule and how to sign up will be announced in the coming days.
