Came across this photo while browsing through one of five binders at the rare books room at the Mutnomah County Library. The binders document WPA projects in Oregon, including the Oregon Art Project (or OAP, pictured above), Salem Art Center, Curry County Arts Center (on the coast) and Grande Ronde Art Center (in eastern Oregon). The OAP building was located at 15 SW 1st Ave, near the base of the Burnside Bridge, and included an immense facility with shops for painting, photography, woodworking, weaving and more.
